Crafted in the historic Lowland region of southern Scotland, Bladnoch Liora is a single malt Scotch whisky born from one of the country’s oldest distilleries. Representing a new chapter in Bladnoch’s legacy, Liora balances heritage and innovation, matured in both ex-bourbon barrels and new oak casks to achieve remarkable depth. The name, meaning “light for the city” in Hebrew, reflects both the whisky’s bright profile and its connection to the vision of Bladnoch’s owner, David Prior.
Liora opens with vibrant aromas of crisp, freshly cut apples layered with roasted caramel and delicate floral undertones. On the palate, it delivers rich notes of caramelized apple and baking spices, rounded out by the textured influence of new oak. The finish is long, gently warming, and slightly dry, making it an elegant sip for those who enjoy whisky with character and balance.
Bottled at a bold 52.2% ABV, this Lowland single malt is best enjoyed neat to fully appreciate its complex flavors, though a touch of water reveals added nuance. Ideal for seasoned whisky drinkers and newcomers alike, Bladnoch Liora offers a compelling expression of Lowland craftsmanship with a contemporary edge.
