Cazcanes No. 7 Extra Añejo Tequila is a refined expression born in Amatitán, Jalisco, where tradition meets innovation. This small-batch tequila begins with 100% organic Blue Weber agave and pure volcanic spring water from Navichi Springs, brought in from the highlands of Hostotipaquillo. Aged for an average of 37 months in re-charred American oak barrels once used by iconic bourbon houses like Jack Daniel’s, Jim Beam, Clermont, and Four Roses, this tequila is blended based on flavor, not time, ensuring every batch delivers richness without overwhelming the agave core.

The flavor profile is deep and nuanced, revealing roasted agave layered with notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, and butterscotch. The use of French oak staves in a portion of the blend brings in elegant touches of dried fruit, soft oak, and warm baking spices, enhancing the overall texture and complexity. The palate is full and smooth, leading to a long, warming finish that lingers with subtle spice and caramelized agave sweetness.

Cazcanes No. 7 Extra Añejo is best sipped neat in a wide-mouthed glass to appreciate its depth and structure, though it also holds its ground over a large cube for a slower unfolding of flavor. With its thoughtful blend of American and French oak influences and its dedication to preserving agave integrity, this tequila offers a luxurious yet authentic tasting experience.
