From the heart of Agrelo in Mendoza, Argentina, Los Bocheros Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is a vibrant expression of high-altitude terroir and time-honored winemaking traditions. Grown sustainably at 3,280 feet in the Lamadrid Vineyard and crafted by winemaker Angie Yañez, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from vines averaging 25 years of age. Fermented with native yeasts and aged for six months in seasoned French oak barrels, this wine is both unfiltered and unfined, preserving its natural depth and character.
The nose opens with ripe plum jam and freshly picked cherries, unfolding into a smooth palate framed by soft tannins and a balanced, medium-length finish. The use of older oak barrels allows the fruit to shine through without overpowering oak notes, giving the wine a rounded texture and elegance. The 13.8% alcohol content supports its structure without overshadowing its vibrant fruit core.
Best enjoyed at room temperature, this Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled meats, rustic pasta dishes, or a simple evening of good conversation. It captures a slice of Argentine culture, from the vineyards beneath the Andes to the bocce courts that inspired its name—where friends gather over wine, laughter, and tradition.
